Striker heads out the exit door

Bristol City have sold striker Antoine Semenyo to Premier League side Bournemouth. As per Sky Sports, the transfer is £9million with £1.5million in add-ons. The Ghana international, who was at the World Cup earlier this winter with the Ghana national team, scored 20 goals in 122 games for the Robins and will now be looking to show what he can do in the top flight.

Midfielder sends message

Alex Scott has sent a message on Twitter (see below) to Semenyo after his move to the Cherries. The midfielder has wished his teammate all the best as he embarks on a new chapter in his career. Scott himself has also been linked with an exit this month but the club have slapped a hefty price tag on him.

Former loanee lands new club

Former Bristol City midfielder Ben Gladwin has been snapped up by League Two side Crawley Town from Swindon Town. The 30-year-old had a loan spell with the Robins back in 2016 but struggled for game time. He has penned an 18-month deal with his new club as they look to avoid relegation to the National League.

Elsewhere in the Championship

Watford have completed the signing of defender Ryan Porteous from Hibernian, Sunderland have won the race for Leeds United striker Joe Gelhardt on loan and Sean Maguire has left Preston North End for Coventry City.
