Luton Town take look at defender

Luton Town are taking a look at defender Michael Hector on trial. The Jamaica international is currently a free agent following his departure from Fulham at the end of last season and will be weighing up his options.

Luton Today report that he is training with the Hatters at this moment in time. He is an experienced player in the Football League having also played for the likes of Reading, Hull City and Sheffield Wednesday in the past.

Rotherham United bring in coach

Rotherham United have bolstered their backroom staff by bringing in coach Jon Hill. The 52-year-old has reunited with Matt Taylor at the New York Stadium having previously worked with him at Exeter City.

The Millers have made a decent start to life under their new boss, despite losing 4-2 to Hull over the weekend. They play Bristol City at home on 10th December.

Blackburn Rovers tie up contract deal

Blackburn Rovers have handed rising star Jake Batty his first professional contract. The full-back is being tipped for a bright future in the game and has risen up through their academy.

The 17-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a deal until the summer of 2025. He has told Rovers’ website: “It’s an unbelievable feeling. It’s getting to the point where I feel I’m really developing and I couldn’t wish for anything more than to be a Rovers player.”
