Bristol City have turned to Gerhard Struber as their new manager this summer. The former Barnsley man has been picked as their replacement for Liam Manning following his exit from FC Koln. The Robins saw Manning head out the exit door for fellow Championship side Norwich City after last season.
Struber has delved into the market so far this summer to bring in two three new faces. Firstly, goalkeeper Joe Lumley has been brought in to bolster their goalkeeper department. The ex-QPR man became a free agent after Southampton decided not to keep hold of him when his contract expired.
Adam Randall has joined from Plymouth Argyle to boost their options in the middle of the park. The 24-year-old has spent his whole career to date at Home Park and has now left for a new challenge. He rose up through the academy ranks of the Pilgrims and was a regular at various different youth levels before going on to play 173 games for their first-team, chipping in with 10 goals.
Finally, Bristol City have also snapped up striker Emil Riis Jakobsen in an eye-catching transfer. His deal at Preston North End ran out at the end of June and he has now switched to Ashton Gate. He will give his new team more firepower at the top end of the pitch.
Riis spent five years at Deepdale and found the net on 46 occasions in 186 outings. He has now left for a new challenge. Here is how the Robins could line up next term....
