Bristol City came from behind to beat Stoke City 2-1 in a battling victory at the bet365 Stadium on Good Friday.

Nick Powell opened the scoring for the Potters in the first-half but Zak Vyner's first goal of the season got the Robins back on level terms and then substitute Anis Mehmeti scored his first goal in the colours of his new club to secure a first away win since February.

The win over the Potters sees Nigel Pearson’s side leapfrog them in the table going a point above them and they are now just two points off of mid-table. City are now 11 points clear of the drop zone and 10 points off of the play-offs with six games remaining in the season.

Max O’Leary - 7

O’Leary made a fine save to deny Tyrese Campbell just before half-time. The sun at Stoke made it difficult on crosses but he coped well.

George Tanner - 6

Stoke targeted him in the first-half and had the beating of him a few times but going forward he was good.

Zak Vyner - 8

A first goal of the campaign for Vyner who put in a solid display. He took his goal well with a cushioned header and was full-blooded in his performance.

Cameron Pring - 5

Caught in no-mans land for Powell’s opener. Stoke’s goal was far too easy and Vyner wasn’t near to him when the ball was played in. He was caught in possession by Brown in a sloppy bit of play but luckily wasn’t punished.

Jay Dasilva - 7

Stoke’s danger came down the other flank, but Dasilva didn’t really get beaten by the attackers. He put in a superb defensive shift which will go a long way.

Matty James - 7

Played a few good passes that resulted in some good opportunities.

Omar Taylor-Clarke - N/A (subbed off, 20)

Came off with an injury following a challenge. A shame given he had taken his chance of Championship well but hopefully it’s not too serious.

Andi Weimann - 7

Denied a goal by the offside flag but was accepting of the decision. He was determined to get his side back in the game. He played an in-pefect pass to Wells to find Mehmeti for the winner.

Sam Bell - 7

Came off with cramp with ten minutes to go but played a part in City’s equaliser. He drew a few cheap fouls from Stoke, but they couldn’t get near him as his cross found Vyner.

Tommy Conway (subbed off, 46) - 6

Conway didn’t have the impact that he did against Reading and the plan was always for him to only play a half.

Nahki Wells - 6

City’s top scorer spurned a great opportunity to score. He had the goal at his mercy but somehow dragged his shot wide. He atoned for his miss with a pass that was put on a plate for Mehmeti.

Andy King (subbed on, 20) - 6

Came on for Taylor-Clarke and sured play up in the centre of the pitch. A good option to have and put in a mature display.

Harry Cornick (subbed on, 46) - 6

A goal still alludes the January signing who had a few flashes but couldn’t deliver the moment he’ll have been craving for a while now. His link-up play was good though.

Anis Mehmeti (subbed on, 80) - N/A

Came on after Sam Bell came off with cramp and made an immediate impact. He’s got his first goal for the club which will give him a shot of confidence.
