Bristol City player ratings v Middlesbrough - 8/10 for ‘best player on pitch’

Bristol City had to settle for a point as Middlesbrough battled from two goals down to earn a draw at Ashton Gate.

Bristol City squandered a two goal lead as they drew 2-2 with promotion-chasing Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate in front of Sky Sports cameras on Easter Monday.

Sam Bell opened the scoring for the Robins with his first league goal at home before Harry Cornick - who supplied Bell for the opening goal - netted for the first time in his City career after scoring from close range from Nahki Wells' pass.

Aston Villa loanee Aaron Ramsey however inspired Boro to a comeback. Ramsey scored in the 58th minute and then six minutes later he supplied Matt Crooks for the equalising goal.

The draw has Nigel Pearson's side currently 13th, and they're just three points off of Watford, who they play next at Vicarage Road next Saturday (April 15). As for Boro, they are fourth and are eight points off of the automatic spots with Sheffield United having two games in hand over Michael Carrick's men.
