Bristol City player ratings from this season with all 25 players ranked in order

Bristol City are almost at the half-way stage of the Championship season, with their campaign on pause because of the World Cup. Antoine Semenyo is the Robins' sole representative in Qatar after being called up by Ghana. Semenyo scored his first goal for the Black Stars in a warm-up match against Switzerland this week.

Many City fans will welcome this three-week interval as it gives fans a break from the tough fixture schedule that the league offers. City finished on a high with a goalless draw against promotion-chasing Watford last week. It was a match in which City were dominant and earned high praise from manager Slaven Bilic, who earmarked Semenyo as the player that impressed him the most.

The position of 18th however isn't one that fans will be too happy with given the possibility of a play-off push was spoken about before a ball was kicked. They sit just a point above managerless Wigan Athletic who occupy the third and final relegation spot. The table is tight and when the action resumes, there is a possibility for any team to go on a run and propel themselves up the table.

City have had a lot to contend with in the early parts of the campaign with injuries in key areas, more specifically in defence. Summer signing Kal Naismith has been out since early October and his absence has been a major blow. Tomas Kalas returned after a seven-month lay-off but found himself back on the sidelines after just two matches.

There have been some positives however with the likes of Cameron Pring and Zak Vyner, who came through City's academy, getting themselves back into the first-team picture.
