Verdict on new signing

Rob Atkinson has said Kal Naismith has proven to be a ‘good addition’ for them.

The Robins swooped to sign him on a free transfer from Luton Town earlier this summer.

Atkinson has delivered his verdict on his new teammate and has said:

“He’s a loud character, he’s commanding and he demands out of everyone around him. And that helps me. Zak (Vyner) too.

“He’s a good addition to the club and it allows me to play a lot better. I can go higher because I can trust him on the ball. It’s early days in the relationship but we’re figuring each other out and it’s going well so far.

“It’s never personal but you’ve just got to take it and when he says something, it’s only to help us and not ruin our confidence or berate us. When we’re zoning out a bit or switching off, he gets us switched back on and on the same page.”

Wycombe man ahead of cup clash

Bristol City are in action tomorrow night in the Carabao Cup against Wycombe Wanderers.

The Chairboys remain in League One after losing in the play-off final last term to Sunderland.

Their midfielder, Dominic Gape, has been speaking ahead of the clash against Pearson’s side and has said, as per the Bucks Free Press:

“We need to build on the win against Barnsley for what will be a tough fixture against a Championship opponent, but if we turn up and give that same standard of performance then it should be positive from here.”
