Bristol City’s highly-rated midfielder Han-Noah Massengo is at the heart of transfer speculation once again - but some past quotes already shed light on what the Robins want to do.

The 20-year-old was in fine form on Monday when he helped the Robins to a 1-1 draw against Sheffield United and he continues to draw attention from a number of clubs.

Bundesliga outfit Freiburg considered a £6million move for the midfielder during the January transfer window and he has been scouted by Borussia Dortmund and Chelsea in the past - but it is Lyon that are keen to take Massengo back to France during the summer.

French outlet BUT (via GFFN) have suggested Les Gones have watched Massengo on a number of occasions in preparation for a close-season move and believe a deal could be in the offing with the player about to move into the final 12 months of his current deal at Ashton Gate.

Robins boss Nigel Pearson spoke recently about the situation and admitted Massengo’s future remains unclear.

He said: “We’re still trying to negotiate a new deal with him but outside of that, I don’t think you can read into that or not.

“Whether that’s shared by the club, and to my knowledge it is, I think with Han-Noah being involved in a shoot like that confirms what we all think and that is, we would like him to stay here longer but I don’t have a crystal ball.

“I can’t tell you how that’s going to go in the summer but I’m just very realistic about these type of things. I’ve already said that what’s important is that we don’t allow players to run the clock down and that’s my view.”

Bolton Wanderers looking at former City trialist

Aldershot Town prospect Lucias Vine spent time on trial at Bristol City recently and featured for the Robins Under-23s in a game against their Watford counterparts.

No deal was forthcoming but Vine has been handed another chance to earn a move into the EFL this week.

The Bolton News have reported the 18-year-old striker is on trial with Bolton Wanderers and played for the club’s reserve side in a 1-1 against Walsall on Tuesday.

Millwall star set for shock move to Turkish giants

Millwall midfielder Jed Wallace is set to leave the New Den when his current deal comes to an end this summer.

A number of Championship clubs have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old - but a new name has emerged as a key contender for his signature.

Turkish outlet Fotomac have reported Wallace is in talks with Besiktas and is “very close” to agreeing terms.

The Daily Mail have reported Premier League rivals Spurs and Crystal Palace are both keen on a move for Peterborough United youngster Ronnie Edwards.

The former Barnet centre-back has shone in the Championship and has quickly caught the eye of several clubs this season.

Posh director of football Barry Fry has now confirmed Spurs are interested in the England Under-19 international defender.

A large fee has been suggested with Peterborough wanting as much as £15million for their prized asset and would have an interest in taking Edwards back in a loan deal.

Fry also suggested one “big German club” is also monitoring the youngster’s progress.
