Bristol City are gearing up for a clash with Blackburn Rovers this weekend as they look to bounce back from three straight defeats.

The Robins look as though they are safe from relegation at this point, but they will be looking to finish the campaign with a bang as they cast an eye towards next season.

Recovering from the three straight defeats would be a good start, though it will be a tough task against promotion chasing Blackburn this weekend.

An injury boost will help, and that welcome recovery features in our Championship news round-up below.

Mixed injury news for Robins

Bristol City have received mixed injury news over duo Timm Klose and Tomas Kalas.

Nigel Pearson has confirmed that Klose will be good to go for this weekend’s clash with Blackburn, but Kalas will be absent.

“Timm is okay and he’ll be available for this game,” the Robins boss said in his pre-match press conference.

“Tomas has got a knock on his knee which has been sore but he’s also got a bit of a problem with his groin too, so he’ll probably miss this weekend but we’ll see how he goes.”

Derby setback

Derby County have suffered yet another setback with fans desperate for the administrators to find a new owner.

The administrators received an offer from one of the parties with the most long-term interest, the Binnie family, worth £30million.

But they have told the BBC that the administrators deemed the offer too low and as a result, they have seen talks ended.

Reading snap up veteran

Reading have completed the signing of 31-year-old goalkeeper Ørjan Nyland.

The relegation-threatened Royals recently saw their Arsenal loanee Karl Hein suffer a freak injury while at home, which will see him miss the rest of the season.

As a result, Reading have moved to snap up Nyland, who is a former Aston Villa goalkeeper, on a deal until the end of the season.
