Bristol City predicted XI vs Blackburn Rovers: One key change likely for Liam Manning's Robins - gallery

Blackburn Rovers vs Bristol City

Bristol City will seek a first win in three matches when they face fellow EFL Championship playoff hopefuls Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park on Tuesday night.

The Robins were held to a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town last time out, with defeats against Norwich and Southampton before the match at the John Smith's stadium.

Tommy Conway was back on target against the Terriers, and his eye for goal will prove vital once more, with Nahki Wells likely to miss the match through injury.

Both Mark Sykes and Joe Williams played an hour at Huddersfield on Saturday and should be fresh to go once more from the off, while one of City's top performers this season Rob Dickie will have his work cut out in defence.

A month into Liam Manning's reign, City are showing glimpses of how the young manager wants his side to play, and they will face a big test against Rovers.

The hosts go into the match after back-to-back defeats against Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday, but a win for Jon Dahl Tomasson's outfit could propel them into the top six.

Sammie Szmodics has already netted 14 goals so far this campaign, and the Robins will need to take extra care to prevent the 28-year-old from adding to his impressive tally in midweek.

Last year, this fixture ended in a thrilling 3-2 win for City, as a Wells brace and one from Conway secured the points for the visitors.

Here's how I think City will set up...
