Bristol City picked up their first win of the year at the weekend as they beat Birmingham City 4-2 on home turf. Nahki Wells, Mark Sykes (2) and Antoine Semenyo confirmed the three points for the Robins.

The victory was their first at Ashton Gate since October and extends the gap on themselves and the relegation zone, moving up to 17th place in the Championship. Nigel Pearson’s side will now face Swansea City in their FA Cup replay tomorrow, before hosting Blackburn Rovers in the Championship. Blackburn’s form has dramatically dipped in recent weeks, losing four of their last six matches.
