Bristol City's season has nine more games to go before it reaches its conclusion and they're right in the middle of the Championship.
Wednesday's defeat to Luton Town leaves them in 13th, four points off of mid-table Sunderland, as well as 12 points away from the last play-off spot. They're a whole 13 points away from Blackpool, who occupy the last relegation spot, and so their place in the division looks all secure, at both ends of the spectrum.
Anything above 17th or 18th would be an improvement after Nigel Pearson's last two finishes, but the squad is beginning to take shape and most recently Hull City boss Liam Rosenior said that the team is being shaped in his image. Pearson has had the difficult task of having to work on a limited transfer budget, and his job has been to get rid of players on high wages, and bring in players who will cost less.
In the summer transfer window this season, not a penny was spent except for the compulsory compensation for Kane Wilson, who joined from Forest Green Rovers. January however changed things as Antoine Semenyo's sale to Bournemouth meant that some funds were made available and they went out and signed the highly-rated Anis Mehmeti, as well as experienced striker Harry Cornick.
If Bournemouth survive the drop from the Premier League then more money will be coming their way, and so fans will have to hope former Robins midfielder Gary O'Neill leads them to safety. It's already been said however by technical director Brian Tinnion that up to four new signings should be expected and once the final whistle blows at Loftus Road on May 8, the hard work will begin.

1. Jake O’Brien (Crystal Palace, on loan at RWD Molenbeek)

2. Jack Currie (AFC Wimbledon)
Wimbledon went public with Bristol City’s efforts to sign Currie with four failed bids.
