David Wagner's side struck level in the second period when George Tanner diverted into his own net before Idah's last-minute finish snatched the victory.

Liam Manning's side drop down to 14th in the table and miss out on the chance to break into the top half.

Here's how the Robins fared...

Player ratings:

Max O'Leary - 7

Didn't have to make any saves in the first period but would have been relieved when Abel Hernandez's effort crashed back off the post.

Had little chance with Tanner's own goal and tried to make himself as big as possible when Idah ran through but couldn't have done much more in truth.

George Tanner - 7

Looked solid defensively as usual and made a few ventures forward. Was very unfortunate to divert Dimitris Giannoulis' cross into his own net for Norwich's equaliser.

Zak Vyner - 6

Was left unaware early on when Ashley Barnes drifted in behind fired over from close range and paid the price when Idah latched onto a bouncing ball in the dying moments of the match to score the winner. An out-of-sorts display from one of City's most consistent performers.

Rob Dickie - 8

Recognised danger well and never looked troubled defensively. Travelled out with the ball efficiently and always picked the right pass forward.

Cam Pring - 7

Played some clever passes inside into Knight and got about his defending duties well. Has been less expansive in recent matches and that trend continued this afternoon.

Matty James - 6

Was in his element in the holding role dictating play in front of the backline. Was perhaps guilty of not playing forward enough at times.

Taylor Gardner-Hickman - 7

Showed good awareness in the middle and rarely wasted the ball. Fired a powerful effort at goal which was palmed away by Angus Gunn and his trend of positive displays continued.

Jason Knight - 8

Reacted well to control his effort into the bottom corner for City's opener and almost had another when his header was tipped over by Gunn.

Popped up all over the pitch and linked the play well and was as tenacious as ever. Flicked a brilliant ball to Sykes who flashed wide in the first period but was quieter in the second.

Andi Weimann - 6

Worked the ball out to the right-wing smartly for the opener and played some neat passes into the half-spaces. Drifted in and out of the game at times.

Tommy Conway - 6

Didn't receive much service at times but was a threat when running in behind the Canary's defence. Missed a good chance to double the home lead but did well to get out of the way when stood offside for Knight's goal.

Mark Sykes - 7

Worked hard off the ball but was dispossessed a few times early on sloppily. But, he was still City's biggest goal threat and sent in a dangerous cross that led to the opening goal, made a good pass minutes later to Conway who saw his shot saved.

Sam Bell (subbed on for Sykes, 57') - 6

Tried to hurt Norwich when he came on but couldn't utilise his pace very often.

Anis Mehmeti (subbed on for Weimann, 73') - 6

Struggled to get into the game from the right.

Harry Cornick (subbed on for Conway, 81') - N/A

Joe Williams (subbed on for Gardner-Hickman, 81') - N/A
