Bristol City predicted XI vs Middlesbrough as Liam Manning to make double change - gallery

Here's how Bristol City could line-up on Saturday

Bristol City will host EFL Championship rivals Middlesbrough at Ashton Gate on Saturday in Liam Manning's first home match in charge at BS3.

The new head coach saw his side draw 0-0 away at QPR in his first match in the dug-out, and after some time off for the recent international break, he will be eager to get a first win on the board on Saturday.

However, it will be no easy task. Despite Boro failing to pick up a win in their first seven league matches this season, last terms play-off semi-final losers come into the game off the back of a win against promotion chasing Leicester City.

Michael Carrick's side are also unbeaten in their last seven away matches in all competitions, and sit in 10th place in the table - two points ahead of the Robins.

Already this season, Bristol City have had to deal with a number of senior injuries, however, the worst seems to be behind them, and they have plenty of bodies available for the clash.

Manning confirmed on Thursday that Joe Williams is back in contention to start following a hamstring injury, while Nahki Wells is on the mend.

But, the manager did confirm that Ayman Benarous has picked up another long-term injury, while Rob Atkinson has had a slight setback in his recovery from an ACL injury.

Both games between these two ended level last season, including a 2-2 draw here, and Saturday's match promises to be a close affair.

Here's how I think City will begin the match...
