Reliving the tale of the bright-eyed monkey ghost

Our tale of a bright-eyed monkey ghost raised plenty of eyebrows this week - so here it is once more.

The animal, which had bright rings around its eyes, was said to be haunting the Brassknocker Hill area of Bath between 1979 and 1980.

In 2001, an estate agent was with a client and they were looking around an old, vacant property, which still had many of its original fittings.

After a while, a 1950s radiogram burst into life and began playing classical music.

In 1976, Kings Chase Shopping Centre was affected by incidents such as small items moving by themselves, the sounds of footsteps and rustling.

But perhaps strangest of all was that the poltergeist was associated with a habit of turning on a kettle.
