Bristol Rovers return to League One action on Friday as they host Charlton Athletic at the Memorial Stadium before a quick turnaround ahead of a trip to Fleetwood Town the following Monday.
Rovers have not been in action since a 2-0 loss to Portsmouth on March 18. In his first press conference of the season, manager Joey Barton set a target of 52 points following last year’s promotion from League Two.
With nine games remaining, they are just seven points from reaching that total.
They hold a healthy lead over the relegation places but after games against Charlton and Fleetwood they face a tough run of fixtures, facing the likes of promotion-chasing Peterborough United, Bolton Wanderers, Plymouth Argyle and Sheffield Wednesday.
