Are you a lover of vintage clothing and love nothing more than to rifle through thrift markets? Your luck is in this weekend in Bristol, with two pop-up events taking place in the city

We love a good sustainable find in Bristol and as a city we’re known for our love of vintage clothing, alternative fashion and second-life buying.

So for all the thrifty fashion finders out there, you’ll be pleased to hear there is not one, but two, vintage clothing pop-ups taking place this weekend. Both at different sides of the city and both different formats, there is something for everyone out there.

The sun is meant to be shining on Saturday and the weather is set to stay dry all day, so it’s a perfect opportunity to mooch around the city and stock up on your summer wardrobe - in a way that’s kind to the environment and your pockets.

So, let’s delve into the details! First up, the Bristol Vintage Kilo Pop-Up - what do you need to know?

What day?

Saturday 26th April from 10am.

Head to the M Shed on Wapping Road, Harbourside where you’ll find a buzzy atmosphere and heaps (literally) of vintage clothes.

Who’s behind the event?

The event is hosted by we are. Second Life Fashion, an organisation who ​​source and sell high quality pre-loved fashion for men and women who love to hunt out big brands at great prices. The sustainable, second life fashion pop-up visits cities all over the UK with their incredible stylish finds.

What can you expect?

The kilo sale will have items from sportswear, dresses, and t-shirts to denim, streetwear, coats, jackets and much more in sizes extra small to plus size. Prices will start from £4 per garment.

Purchases will be weighed to determine the cost, based roughly around £20 per kilo (but you don’t have to buy a full kilo!).

The organisers say: “We are always refilling the rails throughout the day so it doesn’t matter if you are an early bird vintage lover or want to join us in the last hour, there will be plenty of incredible one-time pieces for you to discover”.

Tickets can be bought from here, but when there is room within the venue, you will be able to get entry on the door, too.

Forest Vintage work closely with their friends at the well-known Happytat on Stokes Croft, who sell pre-loved furniture. The pop-up, therefore, will be taking place on the street behind the store, Charles Street, so you can combine two sustainable shopping sprees from fashion to furniture.

Who’s behind the event?

Forest Vintage are the team behind this pop-up and they sell sustainable vintage clothing on Depop and ASOS Marketplace. They’ve run a few incredibly successful pop-ups across Bristol, so make sure you get there fast!

What can you expect?

This one is a little different in that it’s an End of Season Sale, so it’s the perfect time to grab your bargains for next autumn and winter - think jackets, coats and fleeces at a reduced rate.

The organisers say: “There will be coffee, clothes, and good chat. Expect all of our premium branded vintage stock including the famous 2-for-£15 rails!”
