But snow is not forecasted for Bristol, with the Met Office saying the weather will instead be unsettled with heavy rain and stronger winds in the South West.

The forecast for today (February 8) says: “Heavy rain sweeping across the region through the morning and turning blustery at times. Rain easing for a time during the afternoon before further heavy rain arrives again later. Very mild for the time of year. Maximum temperature 13 °C.”

And as for tonight: “An unsettled evening with a band of heavy rain pushing northwards. Turning somewhat drier overnight with showery outbreaks of rain. Mild with winds easing by dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C.”

Tomorrow (February 9) it is set to stay rather cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain, turning heavy at times.

While the outlook for the rest of the week is a mixture of some brighter and drier intervals at times, though still a risk of showers or longer spells of rain.
