It doesn’t get much more Bristol than a vegan food festival, and it’s a brilliant way to celebrate the weekend and the warm weather while knowing you’re contributing to something positive - local trade, vegan food, and sustainability.

From 1-6 pm at the Left Handed Giant taproom in St Philips, the brewery will be hosting some of the best vegan food traders and producers that Bristol has to offer.

According to their Instagram, people can expect a full line-up of Left Handed Giant vegan beer on tap to accompany the talented vegan food makers, as well as The Lovely Boys DJ Set on the decks for the whole event, too.

The taproom will remain open as usual until 10:30 pm once the festival has come to an end.

So, what exactly can you expect?

In terms of vegan food, you’ll see LD’s Kitchen at the event, who focuses on plant-based food for the soul, as well as The Smoked Vegan, who provide home-smoked street food, and Chiki Monkey, the Bristol-based artisan producer.

When it comes to suitability and what to expect when you arrive, with their large outdoor canopy and seating inside and outside the brewery, there’s plenty of space available.

They also have a huge outdoor area which is also a great sun trap for a sunny day out (or a vegan food festival)! You’ll find a free pool table and lots of board games to add to the fun, too.

The freedom to experiment with different beers is what makes Left Handed Giant stand out, alongside its independence and community-owned aspect of the brewery, and this is reflected in their forward-thinking vegan beer ranges.

If you don’t fancy beer but don’t want to miss out on trialling vegan drink tastes, they also have a wine list specially curated by Kask Wine on North Street, who specialise in vegan, organic and biodynamic wines.

Want to make a family day out of it? Dogs are welcome and children are allowed to attend until 8 pm.
