The GLOW light festival at Grove Park in Weston-super-Mare is back for its third year until Saturday (February 17).
The festival is presented in partnership with Super Culture, Weston-super-Mare Town Council, the Grand Pier and PYTCH and made possible thanks to funding from Weston-super-Mare Town Council and Arts Council England.
It showcases more than 25 spectacular light installations at the festival’s main site in Grove Park as well as some free to see installations at the Italian Gardens, Grand Pier and Princess Royal Square.
Tickets for Grove Park must be booked in advance here and are offered on a ‘Pay What you Decide’ basis (minimum £2), and slots run from 5.30pm to 10pm each night, with the last entry slot at 9pm. It is free for under 16s, who must be accompanied by an adult.

1. UV Garden
Co-created by Weston-based visual artist Bev G Star and service users from Sefton Park Rehab, Jill's garden has been adorned with UV decorations inspired by nature.
2. In The Balance
Co-devised by Somerset-based artist, fabricator and pyrotechnician Felix Rowberry, In The Balance talks about climate change and the weight of responsibility thrust onto the younger generations and features the voices of young people and community members in Weston-super-Mare in its accompanying soundtrack exploring environmental themes made by Weston-based poet and youth worker Sophie Shepherd and sound artist Jordan Cottle in collaboration with young people from Boombox and Off the Record (OTR).
3. Woodwide Web
Created by Paula Birtwistle and PYTCH, and featuring work by Weston College Year 3 ceramics students, Woodwide Web is an interactive piece exploring the mycelial network of fungi that lives beneath our feet in the soil of forests. As visitors place their hands on the ceramic handprints, they unlock different combinations of light and sound responses creating an ever-changing network of human connections that resonates with the natural environment.
