Located near Oldbury Court, Snuff Mills and Stoke Park Estate, Begbrook Green Park is an attractive rural local community park with open green spaces, playgrounds, outdoor exercise stations, a bowling green, a basketball court and football pitches.
The park is very flat and is wheelchair accessible, although the paved paths are only in linear routes.
A stream from the River Frome runs along the side of the park, near Sterncourt Road, and there is a small car park at the main entrance on Frenchay Park Road.
Here are 21 photos from our visit to Begbrook Park:
1. Entrance by Landrail Walk
The M1, M3 and M4 Metrobuses leave visitors travelling from the centre a seven-minute walk away from the entrance by Landrail Walk.
2. Landmark
The Dower House is visible from the park. Set on a hill above the M32 motorway, the house was built in 1553 by Sir Richard Berkeley and was also used as part of the Stoke Park Hospital until 1985, when it was converted into flats.
3. Steps
The steps lead to a bridge overlooking the stream and towards Sterncourt Road.
4. Resting
There are multiple benches throughout the park where visitors can rest, and enjoy the greenery and the singing birds.
