We tried the family-run pizza cafe bringing an authentic slice of Italy to Bristol
It serves a range of authentic Italian dishes and there’s seating outside
Centrally located in the Horsefair in Broadmead lies Taste of Napoli, a family-run restaurant and cafe serving a wide range of Neapolitan and Italian food and drink options.

The family behind this independent business opposite Primark say Taste of Napoli “arose from a desire to introduce authentic and traditional Italian street food to Bristol” and they have certainly succeeded.
They serve a selection of pizza slices, calzone, panini and an array of coffee and pastries as well as a selection of authentic Italian produce.
We decided to grab some lunch at A Taste of Napoli on a sunny Wednesday afternoon.
Inside the cafe-restaurant, they had a selection of gelato in one of their freezers, and on their other till was a display of different pizza slices, focaccia, arancini and fried pasta, and a range of homemade desserts to pick from.
There also have multiple vegan options and the option for takeaway.I decided to go for one of their vegan pizza slices and a bottle of pear juice, as well as a handmade Nutella cheesecake for an extra £5.95. It totalled to £13.90.

The cheesecake was already on the till fridge and was served in a medium ice cream tub. I was told to take a seat outside and they would bring the pizza to the table.
The tables outside were shaded and there was a slight breeze in the heat - it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal on a sunny day and enjoy some people watching without too much traffic passing by.
The service was very fast and friendly, and the pizza slice served on a small wooden board within five minutes.

The pizza slice was generous in size and cut into two pieces. The base was crunchy and slightly smoky, whilst the topping was soft, creamy and tender. Overall, the first bite was very flavourful and the pizza was quite filling. The pear juice was sweet and very refreshing in the hot sunny weather.
As for the Nutella cheesecake: the top was light, creamy and smooth, whilst the base was soft and crumbly. The cheesecake was bursting with flavour, with the taste lingering for a few minutes.
Overall, the meal was very satisfying and flavourful, and the seating was perfect to enjoy the lovely weather whilst having lunch alfresco.
Taste of Napoli is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 10am to 6pm, Saturday from 10am to 7pm and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
