Two independent restaurants in Bristol are in the running to be named the best in the UK. 

Sri-Lankan and Tamil restaurant, Nadu, and Indian street food restaurant, Dhamaka, are both among 25 restaurants that have been shortlisted in the Independent Restaurant of the Year category of the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards 2024

A further five Bristol restaurants have been shortlisted for regional cuisine awards for South England & Wales.

The restaurants and categories are:

  • Mayflower - Best Chinese
  • Pizza Workshop - Best Pizza
  • Rock Salt - Best Indian & Nepalese
  • Oowee - Best Burger & American 
  • NOA Japanese - Best Japanese

Customer votes will determine five Regional Restaurant of the Year winners who will be automatically entered into the final shortlist forIndependent Restaurant of the Year, later judged by a panel.

Will Shu, CEO and founder at Deliveroo, said this year’s awards are "bigger and better than ever”. 

He said: “The Restaurant Awards are designed to give our customers the chance to champion and celebrate the wealth of great food right on their doorstep - so get voting to see your favourite spots snap up the titles!”

Voting for the awards is now open via the Deliveroo Restaurant Awards website and participating customers are automatically entered into a prize draw to win £500 of app credit. 

Voting will close on January 21 at 23:39 with winners announced on Deliveroo’s social channels on February 15.
