“I’ve got a baby,” a woman cried inside a Bristol home as police smashed through the front door this morning (March 27).

A number of officers descended on the property in heavy rain at 9am today, as part of two drugs raids taking place in south Bristol.

“Get your hands off me, I want a cigarette,” the woman, still in her pyjamas, shouted as police began searching the premises.

It was not long until they found multiple knives - including a large zombie knife.

An XL bully could be heard barking loudly as police continued their search at the house in Knowle West, with a sniffer dog also taken into the property.

The woman later stood on the doorstep to smoke her cigarette, while her children looked in shock at their damaged front door.

Avon & Somerset Police neighbourhood inspector, Chris Starr, said: "We are committed to tackling organised crime and these warrants are part of a long-running investigation to identify those responsible.

“The actions today will cause significant disruption to this organised crime group, and has helped to take a number of dangerous weapons off of the streets.

"This work is reliant on information reported to us by the public and we would encourage anyone who sees any suspicious activity to report it to us."
