According to the RAC, last month the average prices of both petrol and diesel hit new record highs after rising by nearly 7.5p and 8p respectively.
The price of unleaded also rose faster than in any month since 2000, according to the RAC.
And on Sunday, October 24 petrol exceeded the 142.48p a litre all-time peak set on April 16 2012 by reaching 142.94p.
Since then the price has continued to rise.
It means it has become about £17 more expensive to fill up a typical 55 litre family car.
With this in mind with rounded up the cheapest places to buy petrol in Bristol as of Friday, November 18 according to PetrolPrices.com.
