Traffic chaos as serious crash between bus and lorry closes Wells Road in Bristol

There are reports of 'very slow' traffic in south Bristol this morning after a serious crash between a bus and a lorry has closed the A37 Wells Road in Knowle in both directions.

Avon Fire and Rescue are also reporting that Broadfield Road in Knowle is closed due to the collision.

Avon and Somerset Polices say: "We're currently responding to a collision between a bus and a lorry on the A37 Wells Road.

"The road is expected to be closed for several hours while the vehicles are recovered. It's currently closed at the junctions of Airport Road, Broadwalk, Callington Road and St Martin's Road.

Bus routes have also been diverted. First West of England has confirmed that services 2, 2a, 172 and 176 are subject to diversions via Wooton Park, Callington Road and Bath Road in both directions.
