If there's one thing that unites us in Bristol, it's moaning about how rubbish the buses are.

Some good news to start this week though is that a bus route will soon finally serve a "struggling" community in Bristol after a campaign by residents.

The start of September will also see a number of changes to the bus network, with new services and others withdrawn.

But that got us thinking about all the bus routes that have been axed in the city over the years, so we asked you which of those you miss the most.

The number 36 once ran across South Bristol, from Hartcliffe and Withywood, through Hengrove, Knowle and Brislington, but was axed several years ago. A petition was started earlier this year calling for its reintroduction.

The 37 bus route between Bath and Bristol via Hanham and Longwell Green was withdrawn from the end of January 2022.

336

The 336 once ran from Withywood to Bath, but is understood to have been cancelled in the late 1990s.

The 52 service ran from Broadmead through Bedminster, Bedminster Down and Highridge to Hartcliffe, but was completely cancelled from September 2023.

57

The 57, which ran from Stockwood to the city centre, was withdrawn from July 2018 by operator Abus.

506

The 506, from the city centre to Southmead Hospital, stopped running in April last year after local authority subsidies were scrapped.

The 90 bus route, which ran from Hengrove Park to Broadmead, returned under Transpora this April but stopped running last month after the bus company stopped operating.
