A number of people were reported to have forced entry while in possession of weapons, before fleeing on foot in the direction of Chepstow Road.

Officers arrived on the scene within three minutes and an area tour was carried out.

A white Volkswagen was subsequently stopped in Hengrove Way shortly after 11.05pm, and two men in their 20s were arrested.

They have both been released on bail, with conditions not to return to the area where the incident took place.

A third man in his late-teens was arrested the following day and has been bailed.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing but at this time police believe it to be an isolated incident and not connected to the double murder of two teenage boys in Knowle West the night before.

Witnesses are asked to call 101 and quote reference number 5224024039.
