The picturesque Cotswold town that’s only a few minutes’ drive from Bristol

Medieval buildings, historic pubs and great coffee shops makes Chipping Sodbury a popular town for visitors and locals alike

At the southern-most point of the Cotswolds, but only a short drive from Bristol, Chipping Sodbury is a pretty market town with plenty to offer locals and visitors alike.

This ancient town may only be ten miles from Bristol city centre but it retains a timeless countryside feel. It’s also well known as the place where author JK Rowling was born.

The main street, High Street, was once known as Broad Street and it’s one of the widest in Britain - its width due to it once having space for animal pens at the regular markets when drovers brought their cattle and sheep to town.

Here are ten photos showing why Chipping Sodbury remains such a popular town that’s well worth visiting.
