Take That, Bristol: 17 amazing photos from the Ashton Gate concert last night

Legendary Manchester trio play to 30,000 fans and finish with amazing firework display

Legendary band Take That thrilled 30,000 fans at Ashton Gate in Bristol last night (June 8), ending the show with a spectacular firework display.

The Manchester trio - Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald - performed for two hours and squeezed in 29 songs from their 35-year career including no less than ten number one hits.

Part of the band’s sell-out This Life tour, Take That are well known for their extravagant live shows and their return to Bristol after five years was no exception.

Blizzards of snow-like ticker tape, revolving stages, water fountains, fire, a mesmerising light show and back-to-back hits made this a show hard to forget.

At one point, Mark Owen told the crowd how much it meant to be back in Bristol and he namechecked nearby pub The Rising Sun, saying the band had spotted fans drinking outside when they were driven into the stadium.

Howard Donald joked with the fans that he was glad to be performing at the home of Bristol Rovers before apologising for the mistake.
