Bristol Avon Valley: New Summer Frights event to take place as part of the park's Summertopia

The adventure and wildlife park will be open every day during the summer as part of Summertopia!

Bristol’s Avon Valley will opening its doors every day of the summer from July 13 to September 1 as part of Summertopia!

During the first night of the summer season, Avon Valley’s multi-award winning FEAR Scream Park will be launching Summer Frights for one night only on July 13.

Guests will have the opportunity to embark on an unforgettable 40-minute journey through the attractions, navigating darkened corridors, plunging into murky depths and facing both mind-bending and memory-erasing treatment, all as part of the hair-raising adventure.

The Guinness World Record inflatable obstacle course, the Tartan Titan, will be taking residence at the park on selected days between July 27 and August 31. It’s recognised as the longest inflatable assault course and has 50 sections of obstacles to tackle.

As part of Summertopia! the event field will transformed into a mini festival with a stage to host “Avon Valley’s Got Talent”, where children will have the opportunity to show off their skills.

There will also be circus skills equipment ready for the next bussing acrobats to try and storytelling on offer for children who want to relax and listen to tales read by members of the parks entertainment team.

Brave guests will also have the opportunity to tackle the giant 50m slip ‘n’ slide, with three lanes for the ultimate ride.

Every day of Summertopia! will culminate in a soap-studded foam part.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to book overnight stay’s at the park’s campsite which has camping options for those who like to experience more of the outdoors, and glamping tents, some with private hot tubs, for those looking for a little more luxury during their stay. There will also be motorhome and campervan pitches available.

Boomerang tickets will be returning during the summer season giving guests the opportunity to have 25% during their second visit, 50% off their third visit, 75% off their fourth visit and their 5th visit free. The park will also be open until 8pm.

Doug Douglas, owner of Avon Valley Wildlife & Adventure Park, said: “Summer 2024 is set to be our most exhilarating ever. We love being able to host thrilling one-off events like FEAR Summer Frights, while still offering our established and well-loved daily summer activities. This year, guests will be able to stay at the park until 8pm on Fridays, to really make the most of that summer evening sunshine and those later holiday bedtimes.”
