As any Bristol pubgoers already know, it’s getting harder to find a pint for under a fiver and increasingly difficult to find one less than £4.
With that in mind, we turned to Bristol World readers for their expert advice on which pubs in the city are serving the cheapest pints.
And they have come up trumps with suggestions for local boozers where you can order a pint of beer or cider and still get plenty of change out of a £5 note, and in some cases, even change out of £3.
Here is a gallery of seven Bristol pubs where you can find a cheap pint at a time when prices are rising fast across the city.
Of course, if you know of any other pubs serving great value pints, we’d love to hear from you so we can update our list and also visit some of these cheap and cheerful local gems.

5. The WG Grace, Whiteladies Road, Clifton
Reader Les Preece alerted us to what must be the cheapest pint served in Bristol at the moment. The WG Grace Wetherspoon pub on Whiteladies Road serves a guest beer for just £1.49 a pint on Thursdays. Surely, no pub in Bristol can match that - we want to hear about it if you know a cheaper pint. | Google

6. Lebeqs Tavern, Stapleton Road
This spacious football-mad pub at the end of Stapleton Road serves pints at ‘very reasonable’ prices according to reader ‘Sheepy Wales’. A pint of John Smiths will set you back just £2.90 and Thatchers Gold is £3. For Foster’s drinkers, it’s only £3.10. | Google

7. Whitehall Tavern, Devon Road, Redfield
Reader Hazel Cook picked out popular community pub the Whitehall Tavern as her favourite for cheap pints. Owners Miranda White and Stuart Cox have managed to keep prices as low as they can so Fosters is £3 and Butcombe Original is £2.80. | Google
