Ryanair flight to Bristol declares emergency and is diverted

A Ryanair flight from Spain to Bristol declared an emergency and was diverted this morning.

The flight FR4441 from Valencia got into trouble over France and was diverted to Nantes.

The plane left Valencia at 10.06am and was due to arrive at Bristol Airport at 11.25am but due to a medical emergency, the crew had to change their route.

A spokesperson for Ryanair said: “The flight from was diverted to Nantes when a passenger became ill on board.

“The aircraft landed normally at Nantes Airport and medics treated the passenger on arrival.

“The flight continued to Bristol, arriving at 12.48pm local, following a brief delay of 1 hour and 23 minutes.”
