Road closures: two for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have two National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with both of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures are due to start this week:

• M5, from 9pm June 20 to 6am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closure for safety barrier repairs.

• M49, from 10pm June 20 to 6am June 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip and M49 southbound, lane closures for horticulture works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
