Road closures: three for Bristol drivers this week

And two of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 10pm September 7 to 5am September 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for electrical works.

M49, from 10pm September 14 to 6am September 15, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 entry slip roads closure for drainage. No access from Portway Roundabout, no access from St Brendans Roundabout to M5 northbound, or M49, diversions, Portway Roundabout: Continue West on A4 Bristow Broadway to St Brendan's Roundabout, M49 and M5 northbound: M5 southbound to junction 19 and Return.

A4, from 11pm September 16 to 6am September 17, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 entry slip road closed for drainage works, diversion - Join M5 northbound, exit, junction 18, turn and re-join M5 southbound.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
