Road closures: six for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bristol will have six National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that six closures are due to start this week:

M32, from 10pm February 23 to 6am February 24, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to junction 2 carriageway closure for Cyclical works, diversion via A4174, A38, and B4469 Muller Road.

M32, from 8pm February 27 to 5am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 3 exit slip road - lane closure for Bristol City Council works.

M4, from 9pm February 27 to 5am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 20 entry slip road from M5 southbound, junction 15 closed for SMART motorway improvements, diversion via M4 westbound, exit, junction 22, turn and join M4 eastbound.

M4, from 9pm February 27 to 5am March 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 20 entry slip road from M5 northbound, junction 15 closed for SMART motorway improvement works, diversion via M4 westbound, exit, junction 22, turn and re-join M4 eastbound.

M5, from 10pm February 27 to 6am February 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 17 exit slip road closure for technology works, diversion to M5, junction 18a and return.

M32, from 9pm March 1 to 6am March 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 2 to 1 lane closure for electrical works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
