Road closures: seven for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bristol will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that seven closures are due to start this week:

A4, from 9pm March 6 to 6am March 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 entry slip road closure for electrical works, diversion via A4, M5 northbound, exit, junction 17, turn to join M5 southbound.

M49, from 9pm March 7 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 northbound, junction 18 entry slip from M5 lane closure for electrical works.

M32, from 10pm March 7 to 6am March 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to 2 lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8am March 10 to 4pm March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 entry slip from Avonmouth hard shoulder closure for drainage works.

A4, from 8pm March 13 to 6am March 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 northbound, Portway roundabout - carriageway closure for technology works, diversion via Bristow Broadway, turn at St Brendans roundabout and return.

A4, from 8pm March 14 to 6am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 St Brendans roundabout, Avonmouth lane closure for electrical works.

M5, from 8am March 16 to 4pm March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 exit slip to Avonmouth hard shoulder closure for drainage works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
