Road closures: seven for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

A4, from midnight, October 16 to 11pm December 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Portway Roundabout to St Andrews Roundabout used by GWR Railway Replacement Buses on Bristol Temple Meads - Severn Beach route.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M49, from 8pm October 26 to 6am October 27, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 Both Directions lane closure for barrier repair.

M49, from 8pm October 27 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 southbound, Lane closure for barrier/Fence Safety Repairs.

M5, from 10pm October 31 to 6am November 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 entry slip from the M49 closed. Includes lane closures on the M5, junction 18 to 19. For maintenance works. Diversion via the alternative entry slip from St Brendans Roundabout.

M32, from 8pm November 1 to 2am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 3 lane closure on exit slip road for Bristol City Council horticultural works.

M32, from 10pm November 2 to 6am November 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 exit slip road closure for maintenance works, diversion via M32 southbound to junction 2 and return.

M32, from 9pm November 3 to 6am November 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 2 exit slip road - carriageway closure for bridge works, diversion via M32, exit, junction 3, turn and join M32 northbound to junction 2.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
