Road closures: seven for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have seven National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But motorists will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M32, from 8.30pm January 18 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound and southbound, junction 1 exit slips lane closures for survey works.

And a further six closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 8pm April 4 to 6am April 5, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 from St. Brendans roundabout lane closure for surveys.

M5, from 9pm April 4 to 6am April 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip road lane closure for surveys, diversion via M5, junction 19 and return.

M5, from 8pm April 6 to 6am April 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 entry slip road lane closure for surveys.

M5, from 8pm April 7 to 6am April 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 exit slip road lane closure for surveys.

M5, from 9pm April 12 to 6am April 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip road lane closure for surveys, diversion via M5, junction 19 and return.

M49, from 8pm April 13 to 6am April 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 southbound, from M4, junction 22 to M5, junction 18 lane closure for surveys.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
