Road closures: nine for Bristol drivers over the next fortnight

Drivers in and around Bristol will have nine National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

• M5, from 8pm October 29 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19, lane closure for electrical works.

And a further eight closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A4, from 9pm October 30 to 6am October 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, from Portway roundabout to M5, junction 18 entry slip closed (just elevated section) for electrical works. Diversion via Bristow Broadway and St. Brendans roundabout.

• A4, from 10pm October 30 to 6am October 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 18 exit slip road and slip road to Portway Roundabout closure for electrical works, diversion via M5 northbound, exit, junction 17 and return, diversion for Portway Roundabout via St Brendans Roundabout and Bristow Broadway.

• A4, from 10pm November 1 to 6am November 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip road, link to Avonmouth from M5 southbound and M49 and loop to St Brendans Roundabout closure for electrical works, diversions, From M5 and M49 southbound, - southbound to junction 19 and return, St Brendans Roundabout - Continue to Portway Roundabout and right on Bristow Broadway to St Brendans Roundabout.

• M5, from 8pm November 2 to 6am November 10, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 northbound, junction 19 to 18, lane closure for electrical works.

• M5, from 9pm November 2 to 5am November 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to junction 19 lane closure for electrical works.

• A4, from 10pm November 2 to 6am November 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 19 entry slip closed for electrical works. Diversion via M5 northbound to junction 18 and return.

• M5, from 9pm November 6 to 5am November 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, St Brendans Roundabout to M5, junction 18 - lane closure for electrical works.

• M5, from 9pm November 13 to 6am November 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
