Road closures: four for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bristol will have four National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that four closures are due to start this week:

M32, from 8pm May 2 to 6am May 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to 3 - lane closure for electrical works.

M32, from 10pm May 2 to 6am May 4, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 3 to 2 - carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via B4051, A38, B4469 Muller Road, re-join M32.

M5, from 9pm May 4 to 6am May 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, Portway roundabout to junction 18A closed for barrier works. Diversion via St. Brendans roundabout, southbound, entry slip at, junction 18, M5 south to junction 19 and return northbound.

M32, from 10pm May 4 to 6am May 5, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 2 to 3 - carriageway closure for drainage works, diversion via B4469 Muller Road, A38, B4051 Ashley Road.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
