Road closures: five for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bristol will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

M4, from 9pm January 16 to 6am January 18, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 both directions, junction 15 carriageway closure between the exit and entry slip roads for refurbishment, diversion via M4 westbound to junction 22 and return.

M32, from 9pm January 16 to 6am February 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 Both Directions, junction 2 to junction 3 lane closures for barrier work.

M49, from 10am to 2pm on January 19, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M49 northbound, M5, junction 18 to M4, junction 22 lane closure for sweeping.

M5, from 9am to 4pm on January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 entry slip from Avonmouth hard shoulder closure for electrical works.

M5, from 9.30am to 4pm on January 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 hard shoulder closure for communication works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
