Road closures: five for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And two of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that five closures are due to start this week:

M5, from 10pm July 18 to 6am July 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 entry slip from the M49 closed. Includes lane closures on the M5, junction 18 to 19. For maintenance works. Diversion via the alternative entry slip from St Brendans Roundabout.

A4, from 9.30am to 4pm on July 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 eastbound, Crowley Way to St Brendans roundabout - lane closure for electrical works.

M4, from 10pm July 22 to 6am July 23, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 southbound to M4 eastbound, slip closed for electrical works, diversion via M4, junction 22, U-Turn to join M4 eastbound.

M32, from 9pm July 25 to 5am July 26, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 2 to 1 - lane closure for electrical works.

M32, from 10pm July 25 to 6am July 27, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M32 both directions, junction 3 to 2 - carriageway closure for central reservation works, diversion northbound, - B4051 / A38 / B4469 Muller Road / re-join M32. For southbound, diversion follow above in reverse.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
