Road closures: five for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing holdups of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M32, from 8.30pm January 18 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound and southbound, junction 1 exit slips lane closures for survey works.

And a further four closures will begin over the next seven days:

M5, from 10pm April 19 to 6am April 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 18 southbound, entry slip from St Brendans Roundabout closed for resurfacing. No direct access to M5 from St Brendan's roundabout. Diversion via Portway Roundabout, M5 northbound to junction 17 to turn and return southbound.

M5, from 10pm April 19 to 6am April 20, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 18 southbound, carriageway closed between the exit and entry slips for resurfacing. Diversion via, junction 18 exit and entry slips.

M49, from 9pm April 20 to 6am April 22, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5, junction 18 both southbound, entry slips (from Avonmouth and the M49) closed for resurfacing. No direct access to M5 from St Brendan's roundabout. Diversion via Portway Roundabout, M5 northbound to junction 17 to turn and return southbound.

M32, from 10pm April 22 to 6am April 23, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 2 to junction 1 - Lane closure for drainage.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
