Road closures: eight for Bristol drivers this week

Drivers in and around Bristol will have eight National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause severe delays – with motorists facing a wait of at least half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that one closure already in place is expected to carry on this week:

M32, from 8.30pm January 18 to 6am April 21, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound and southbound, junction 1 exit slips lane closures for survey works.

And a further seven closures will begin over the next seven days:

M32, from 9pm March 14 to 4am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 southbound, junction 1 to 2 - Lane closure for Electrical works.

M5, from 10pm March 14 to 6am March 15, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18 to 17 northbound, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

M32, from 10pm March 16 to 6am March 17, severe delays (more than 30 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 3 to 2 carriageway closure for resurfacing work, diversion: A4032 (towards city centre) A4044 (Newfoundland Street) / A38 northbound, / B4469 / re-join M32 at, junction 2.

A4, from 9.30pm March 17 to 6am March 18, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Crowley Way eastbound, lane closure for carriageway repairs.

M5, from 9pm March 21 to 5am March 24, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18 to 19 lane closures in both directions for bridge maintenance.

M32, from 10pm March 21 to 6am March 22, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32, junction 2 northbound, carriageway closed between the exit and entry slips for patching works. Diversion via exit and entry slips.

A4, from 10pm March 24 to 5am March 25, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A4 Avonmouth St Andrews Roundabout. Lane closure for resurfacing works.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
