Drivers in and around Bristol will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

Drivers in and around Bristol will have 10 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause delays of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that 10 closures are due to start over the next two weeks:

M32, from 9.30am September 4 to 3pm September 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 both directions, junction 1 exit slips - lane closures for South Gloucestershire Council litter picking works.

M32, from 9pm September 5 to 6am September 6, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 both directions, junction 1 to 2 - lane closures for barrier repairs.

M4, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 20 entry slip road from M5 northbound, junction 15 closed for SMART motorway improvement works, diversion via M4 westbound, exit, junction 22, M4 eastbound to junction 20.

M4, from 8pm September 11 to 6am September 14, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M4 eastbound, junction 20 entry slip road from M5 southbound, junction 15 closed for SMART motorway improvements, diversion via M4 westbound, exit, junction 22 return to M4 to junction 20.

M32, from 9pm September 11 to 6am September 12, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M32 northbound, junction 1 exit slip road lane closure for horticultural works.

A4, from 10pm September 12 to 6am September 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip road and entry slip road from M49 closure for drainage, diversions, exit slip road - southbound to junction 19 and return, entry slip road - Continue to St Brendans Rbt, return to entry slip from Avonmouth (Y-loop).

A4, from 9pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 exit slip road, link to Avonmouth from M5 southbound and M49 and loop to St Brendans Rbt closure for central reservation works, diversions, From M5 and M49 southbound, - southbound to junction 19 and return, St Brendans Roundabout - Continue to Portway Roundabout and right on Bristow Broadway to St Brendans Roundabout.

A4, from 9pm September 13 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5, junction 18 St Brendans roundabout lane closures, including on approach from Crowley Way, for electrical works.

M5, from 10pm September 15 to 6am September 16, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): M5 northbound, Portway roundabout to M5 / M49 entry slip closed for drainage works. Diversion via Bristow Broadway, St. Brendans roundabout, southbound, entry to M5, junction 19 and back.

M5, from 9pm September 18 to 5am September 20, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M5 southbound, junction 18 to 19 - lane closures for structure maintenance.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
