A popular Indian takeaway in Bristol has been forced to close its doors after the premises were repossessed by the landlord.

The landlord of Spice Express has pinned a forfeiture notice to the premises on Church Road in St George.

The notice said the premises “have been repossessed today [February 11] by the landlord Kudeja Begum c/o Adams Burrows Solicitors of 34 Broad Street Staple Hill Bristol BS16 5NS following forfeiture of the lease by peaceable re-entry.

“And further take notice that following repossession the locks to the premises have been changed.

“Any attempt to enter the premises without the written permission of the landlord or its solicitors or agents will constitute a criminal offence and result in prosecution.”
