The neighbourhood pub will re-open its doors tomorrow (February 29) and will also host an entertainment-packed grand launch party on March 8 and 9.

The Maytree has undergone a complete refurbishment both inside and out, with a brand new colour scheme, a new-look bar and an opened-up space.

The refresh also includes the installation of a brand new darts board and pool table, as well as several HD TVs, which will feature both TNT and Sky Sports. The pub’s outdoor back garden has also been refreshed in time for summer.

Michael Pugh, Operator at the Maytree said: “I can’t wait to welcome the local community back to the Maytree. It really has been transformed throughout, and I’m excited to engage will all of our guests through our amazing new entertainment schedule – it’ll be great to see everyone getting involved!

“Having worked in pubs since 1996, and being local to the area, I’m truly looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the Maytree.”

Michael has come from a musical background, having been involved in karaoke and disco nights, as well as being a singer himself across the Bristol area.

He will be bringing karaoke Fridays to the pub, as well as live music on Saturdays.

As well as this, there will now be a huge range of entertainment offered across the week, including Quiz Union on a Tuesday, Bingo on Thursdays and much more.

The grand launch party will include karaoke, food vans and live entertainment on March 8, with local singer Stacey Charles and a disco on March 9.
