Popular Bristol pub reopens after six-figure refurbishment with stunning new look

The Horseshoe in Downend has been transformed inside and out

Popular Bristol community pub the Horseshoe in Downend has reopened following a major six-figure renovation.

The pub closed last month and has undergone a complete transformation, featuring major refurbishments to the pub’s interior and outdoor areas.

Internally, the pub now boasts attractive new décor and all new comfortable soft furnishings, giving the pub a modern, welcoming atmosphere.

To complement the new décor, visitors can enjoy a new drinks menu featuring brand-new cocktails and an increased range of craft and cast ales from local suppliers such as Bristol based Hop Union.

Those looking for a bite to eat can take advantage of the new food offering, with small sharing plates featuring bao buns, tacos and much more, as well as offers running throughout the week. This includes the return of the popular 2 for £14.99 deal on pub classics and weekly steak nights and Sunday roasts.

Dan Smith, General Manager of the Horseshoe said: “With summer just around the corner, we’re thrilled to be reopening just in time for the good weather, and what better way to celebrate than with a grand reopening party for guests old and new.

“The renovation has brought a vibrant new energy to the pub, and being a popular pub in the local community, the Horseshoe team is really excited to show off our new and improved facilities and exciting new décor to our guests, offering our Downend guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience.”

Alongside seasonal events, the Horseshoe hosts a regular programme of events, including weekly poker and quiz nights, plus monthly live music events.
