A popular pub in Bristol has been put up for let by its owners ahead of a planned refurbishment.   

Star Pubs have plans to turn the Old Globe on East Street in Bedminster into a ‘premium drinks-led, town centre pub with an on-trend food offer’.

The website listing says: “Inside, the pub will be redecorated but in keeping with an all-new look and feel.  

“Other upgrades throughout the pub such as refurbished and new fixed seat furniture, improved toilets and installing a new back bar will give the pub a much more premium feel.

“Outside the pub, we will add covered booth seating, new festoon lighting. The entire outdoor area will receive a full redecoration, including a new wall mural.”

There has been a Globe pub on the site for more than 200 years, according to What Pub.

It is described as a community pub, with a ‘very popular’ pool table and live entertainment on a Friday night.   It has been put on the market with an ingoing cost of £40,732 and an annual rent of £27,734.
